Established in 2020, Alder Associates is already one of the South of England's leading independent providers of paediatric case management services.

Our head office is based in Whitstable, Kent, and our Case Managers cover most of the South of England (including Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Oxfordshire, London, Essex, Kent and nearby surrounding areas). If your location falls outside this, don’t hesitate to contact us we can often work further out to meet client needs.

DIRECTOR AND PAEDIATRIC CASE MANAGER

Becky Howe

Case Manager

Becky is a paediatric nurse with 9 years of experience working with children and young people with complex medical conditions. Having worked as a senior nurse in an NHS A&E Trauma centre she gained first hand experience of the daily battles that young people and their families have to manage when faced with a life changing situation. This enables her to have foresight when working with these families in a case management capacity.

She has a client centred approach in developing and delivering case management services that meets clients’ goals and aspirations to maximise their potential. 

Jo Philip

Case Manager

Jo is an experienced paediatric nurse with a background in Paediatric ICU. She recognises the value of building collaborative relationships with the family and wider team to ensure a joined-up approach to care provision.

She is organised, compassionate and hardworking, always striving to get the best for every client.

Laura Gates

Case Manager

Laura has extensive experience working with children, and their families, with neuro-disability and complex needs due to her background career as a Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist.

She has been consistently praised for her child-centred approach, her ability to quickly establish rapport and trust with the families she works with, as well as providing comprehensive assessments, identification of needs and support packages.

She is well practiced in the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of interventions and is quick to adapt to the ever-changing needs of each child. In her role as Assistant Case Manager, Laura provides support to the Case Manager, client, and their family in order to provide an effective and efficient case management service.

Kim Roumania

Director & Paediatric Case Manager

As director of Alder Associates, Kim leads the team of case managers and is a paediatric nurse by background. 

Kim gained extensive experience from over 17 years in the NHS on acute wards, HDU, A&E and in the community supporting clients with complex care needs and end of life care, before moving into case management. 

As a case manager, she has supported clients with brain and spinal injuries and their surrounding family with care needs and recruitment, therapeutic input, accommodation adaptations, house relocation, educational needs and tribunals for EHCP assessments and provision. 

Having a longstanding clinical background assisted in transitioning into case management, where understanding and prioritising the needs of the clients and families is paramount and she continues to be highly motivated in improving the lives of those affected for a more positive future.

Jo Leigh

Case Manager

As an experienced children’s nurse in both acute and community settings Jo brings extensive specialist knowledge to her role as case manager with children and young people. She is proficient at liaising with professionals, carers and families and understands the importance of collaborative working with all parties.

Jo utilises her skills and knowledge along with compassion for the individual to help identify, develop and deliver a case management plan that meets her clients’ goals and aspirations and promotes their potential.

Helen Francis

Case Manager

Helen has a keen interest working as a specialist nurse within Paediatric Case Management. She has extensive knowledge in acute and chronic health care and is determined about promoting the quality of life for her clients, ensuring specific targeted therapy and goal setting.

Her varied experience in the NHS, which involved managing the rehabilitation of complex care patients and consulting with multidisciplinary teams, has helped her develop higher level communication and a calm and reassuring approach.

Helen has trained and mentored care teams in the community, showing commitment and loyalty to the families concerned.

Cassie Davies

HR Manager

Cassie is an experienced HR professional and has previous experience working in the health and social care sector as well as commercially driven industries.  Alongside ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice, Cassie understands the person-centred approach required for case management.  Cassie is on hand to support the management team with all HR matters, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefit and reward, and employee relations matters.

Cassie is passionate about recruiting, developing, and retaining highly skilled and highly committed employees, to ensure we deliver the best care to our clients.

Julie Friis

Office Manager / QA Lead

Julie has over 20 years of administration and personal assistant experience gained in a variety of industries. Julie has extensive knowledge in office management and document control as well excellent organisation skills.

Along with her infectious positive energy, Julie ensures Alder Associates runs efficiently and resourcefully for our clients, their families and employees, as well as supporting our associates.

Charlotte Jones

Office Administrator

Charlotte has previously worked in a variety of admin roles including time as a paralegal.  In these roles she has gained a wide range of knowledge in areas such as client confidentiality, effective communication and customer service.

Charlotte supports Alder Associate’s office management in various admin tasks to ensure that case managers and our clients are supported in their needs.

Paediatric Specialists

Unlike most other case management companies, here at Alder Associates, our specialism is in paediatrics. That means we focus solely on working with children and their families who have complex needs due to an accident or injury. Uniquely, we are also a nurse-led team, with Kim Roumania (BSc Hons) at the helm. As a fully-qualified paediatric nurse, she has the essential skills and understanding within this field to ensure the best possible level of care and service for every client, while her nursing background has put her in the best position to ensure the empathetic and caring approach that parents truly appreciate at this challenging time.
